What is ChangingMen?
ChangingMen is a health coaching business with one simple aim: to help men live healthier and happier lives. That's it.
Health is bi-directional: physical health is important for our mental health and vice versa – but it’s not always a simple question of hitting the gym, talking or removing food groups from your diet.
Every single man is different with their own history and unique health or lifestyle needs. There is no silver bullet. There is no one-size-fits-all solution.
Understanding the benefits of taking early preventative action, gradually building sustainable, realistic habits or lifestyle changes is vital.
Men's health is a concern for everyone - not just men themselves. When our men are in poor health it impacts families, workplaces and communities.

Everything we do is based around 4 anchors - depending on your needs:
Movement – obesity, cardiovascular disease, certain cancers, anxiety, depression and more can all be linked to a sedentary or inactive lifestyle.
Stress management – heart attacks, strokes, sexual problems, chronic pain, a weakened immune system, digestive issues, emotional changes, social isolation, unhealthy coping mechanisms, cognitive issues… For men, the list goes on – and many don’t know just how brutal the symptoms and impact can be.
Nutrition – a healthier diet can help reduce chronic diseases commonly suffered by men and boost overall wellbeing. Let’s talk about fats, sugar, salt and ultra-processed food.
Sleep – poor sleep protocols can lead to infertility, inflammation, erectile dysfunction, depression, hormone imbalances to name but a few. A good night’s sleep can work wonders – but how do you get it? And how do you keep getting it?
Hello...
My name is Mark and I'm the founder of ChangingMen.
After a long career in publishing (a huge chunk of which was in the men's sector) and marketing, I decided to make some big changes - both for my own health and that of others.
I've seen too many men lose themselves, and in some cases their lives, to poor mental and physical health. And I wanted to help. So, here I am.
If you're struggling with an existing condition, want to make changes for the benefit of your overall health or you have a goal you want to reach, why not book a free discovery call and let's see if I can help? No judgement, just a simple chat. If I can't help I might be able to point you in the right direction at least.

Here's what clients have said...
”I was having serious issues with anxiety – especially in work-related situations. After a while it was beginning to impact my personal life: I was suffering with night sweats, increased heart rate and I’d even stopped running. After working with Mark I was able to manage my symptoms effectively and it was a huge weight off. I’d highly recommend him to any men out there who are struggling with their health.”
- Gary, 44, Belfast
”I reached out to Mark for help with my nutrition and general fitness but I was also keen to get help with my sleep. Prior to working with Mark I'd actually not slept well in years and I could tell it was catching up with me. I didn't know how to fix it. After a few sessions my diet and fitness improved, I was less sluggish and I was able to finally get some proper sleep. ”
- Adam, 36, Stockport

Frequently asked questions
What is ChangingMen?
ChangingMen is a health coaching service for men aged 35+, founded by Mark. After a long career in publishing and the men's media sector, Mark saw too many men struggle — and sometimes lose their lives — to preventable physical and mental health issues. ChangingMen exists to help men live healthier, happier lives through personalised, realistic, sustainable change.
Who is this for?
ChangingMen works primarily with men in mid-life (roughly 35+) who are navigating health challenges, lifestyle changes, or just feeling like something isn't quite right. Whether you're dealing with an existing condition, creeping stress, low energy, or simply want to make positive changes before problems arise — this is for you. You don't need to be in crisis to benefit from coaching.
Why does men's health need its own focus?
Men's health is a concern for everyone — not just men themselves. When men are in poor health, it ripples outward: affecting families, workplaces, and communities. Statistically, men are less likely to seek help early, which means small issues can become serious ones. ChangingMen exists to lower the barrier and make it easier for men to take action before things deteriorate.
What does health coaching actually involve?
Coaching is a collaborative process where we explore your health, habits, and goals — then build a realistic, personalised plan to move you forward. Sessions typically cover areas like stress and sleep, physical activity, nutrition habits, and mental wellbeing. It's not prescriptive or one-size-fits-all. Every man is different, and the approach reflects that.
Is this therapy or medical treatment?
No — health coaching is distinct from therapy and is not a medical service. If you have a clinical condition, Mark will always recommend you work with the appropriate medical professional. However, coaching can complement existing care by helping you build the habits and mindset that support your health between appointments.
What about workshops?
ChangingMen offers customisable workshops for organisations — engaging sessions covering effective habit-building tools, stress management, and more. These are designed for workplaces that want to invest in the wellbeing of their male employees in a practical, evidence-informed way. Get in touch to discuss what a workshop might look like for your team.
Do I need to already be fit or healthy to start?
Absolutely not. Many of the men Mark works with come to him precisely because they feel far from their healthiest. The whole point is to meet you where you are and build from there — gradually, sustainably, and without judgement. You don't need to hit the gym or cut out food groups before you start.
What happens on a Discovery call?
It's a free, no-pressure conversation — just Mark and you. You can share what's going on, ask any questions you have, and get a sense of whether coaching feels right. If ChangingMen isn't the right fit, Mark will try to point you toward something that is. No hard sell, no obligation.
Are sessions in person or online?
Sessions are available both online and in person, depending on your location and preference. Online coaching means geography is no barrier — many clients find it easier to fit into their schedule too. Details will be confirmed during the discovery call.
How long does coaching last?
It varies by person and goal. Some men want a focused short-term programme to tackle a specific challenge; others prefer ongoing support as they build new habits over months. There's no fixed commitment required — the discovery call is the right place to talk through what would suit you.
What if I'm not sure coaching is right for me?
That's exactly what the discovery call is for. Many men arrive unsure — that's completely normal. If after chatting it doesn't feel like the right fit, there's no obligation and no awkwardness. And if Mark can't help, he'll do his best to point you in a useful direction.
